End of Year Round Up

Cannot believe I have let this blog fall so far behind.  So seeing what cards I can find to put one here.

This card used a Bee Crafty Banksy stamp and colour bursts to  make the back grounds.  Cannot remember which of the many splats I have, I used.

Not always sure where to put the cards that I have used stamping and die cuts on.

The cards follow an idea I found attached to an email newsletter I was sent.
The flower stamps are Chloe's and stamped and embossed on vellum.

September 2015 - Clarity Stamp at Catterick

A lovely date so made the trip to Catterick at the last minute.

Had a great time - won a prize in the raffle and had another go with the groovi plate on the day at a small workshop - still not igniting my passion.

However loved what Sam Crowe was creating.

Just one example

November 2015 - Crafting with Hels Sheridan

Hels' Canvas that she made on the day.

My canvas - a work in progress

Finished Canvas - hanging in the house.

Crafting at Maltby Rotherham

Spent the day decorating MDF instead of just the morning.  Afternoon card stamping session was cancelled due to the demonstrating having a nasty fall at home and having to go to A&E.

The sleigh was later filled with two knitted animals for a present.

Crafting with Maria Simms

Spent the morning embossing card with stencils and then highlighting the embossing with brushing techniques with wax and inks.

Afternoon was spent playing with the Groovi plate - still does not float my boat now that I have tried it.

Crafting With Hels Sheridan

This is my completed project from a workshop that I attended that was being run by Hels Sheridan and Ali-Craft of Lincoln

I am happy that I found out that the text and butterfly on this project are from the same set of Stampers Anonymous stamp - that I just had to buy it.

Card Swap Card

As part of The Little Claire Stamp Club I made this card using the stamps and card I was sent.

I did not make it 100% as instructed, by adding real buttons and bows.

For the Joanna Sheen Card Swap for May - I have repeated this card and updated by making it a 7 x 7 card and changing the colour scheme, making the colours used on the stamped images to those on the background paper.

Julia Watts - Homework

I was fortunate to win through Julia's website all the bits an pieces from a Craft Clinic she did on Create and Craft.  This is the first homecard I created.

The car was stamped and the aperture cut out - when I received it.  I coloured the car and added the map (from Aspects of Design - The Stampman) and added the pricked edge and pearls corners (from Creative Expressions).

Female 21st Birthday

This was the project card from Nina Craft's last year.

Card adapted for Female footballer.

I lengtened the hair on the footballer stamp, to turn it from male to female.

Comissioned Card for same birthday.  Birds and letters - Clarity Stamp - flowers Little Claire.

Triple Stamping - Male Card

Sue Wilson card pack, Inky Doodles stamps, Phill Martin's Vintage Oak Spritzer and Little Claire Greeting used in this triple stamp card.

April Card Swaps

The themes for the two card swaps I am taking part in this month are "Watch the Birdie" and "Smile".  Both made me think of taking pictures of birds.  I came up with the following design which was to include a camera embellishment, but it made the card look unbalanced, so I added the word smile instead.  I made one card for each swap and one to keep - tough decision - as each one was layered up differently.

April 17th - Maria Simms Workshop

Here are my finished cards and wall hanging from the workshop that Maria ran.

First Project - Had to add a greeting of my choice when I returned home.

Second Project - Played with grunge paste and gold leaf.
Made the topper and choice was ours to make a walling hanging or a card.

Project 3 - This was Maria's card (lilac) that she allowed people to take a picture of so they could finish their cards when they got home - mine in the orange one.

Project 4 - stamping and embossing in black and colouring in with spectrum noir pencils.  I don't have these pencils, however I have some metallic pencils so used  those instead.  Again, first card is hers, which we were allowed to take a picture of, so we had something to work towards when we got home.  Fortunately, I had the same stamp at home.

Catch Up

Cards I have made but never got put in a posting on this blog - Sue Wilson calls them Orphans.

Male Birthday Cards

Backing paper from a 12 x 12 sheet I got in a Craft shop closing down sale.  The stamped image is a wooden block stamp I got in a job lot of wooden stamps recently on ebay.

The eagle stamp is a wooden block stamp I got in a job lot off ebay.  The Happy Birthday greeting is a Little Claire Stamp, the cabin by the lake is a scene made up using StampScapes stamps.  Feathers are a freebie stamps that came with a magazine (this year).  Backing paper from Craft Creations.

March Swap Card

The theme was Spring Flowers and made the card at the same time as the card in the previous Female Birthday post - see if you can spot the difference.

Mother's Day Card and Present

Picture frame got from the charity shop - each of the pictures that were created have a special meaning, connection with Mum.  Most of the stamps used are from Little Claire.  Bottles were a freebie from Craft Stamper and the apple on books was an old wooden stamp in my stash.

Lovely Day stamp was a freebie from Craft Stamper, the silhoutte stamp is from Little Claire.
