Julia Watts - Homework

I was fortunate to win through Julia's website all the bits an pieces from a Craft Clinic she did on Create and Craft.  This is the first homecard I created.

The car was stamped and the aperture cut out - when I received it.  I coloured the car and added the map (from Aspects of Design - The Stampman) and added the pricked edge and pearls corners (from Creative Expressions).

Male Birthday Card 1

This is a card I made for my Dad's birthday

It was inspired by this one made by Julia Watts and shared on her blog www.inkyfingers.blogspot.co.uk

Can you spot the difference?

I used for mine, Ali Reeves' Mask, Phill Martin Spritz, Spellbinder's dies and Just Rite stamps.  Hint mIne is also an 8 inch square card and Julia's is a little bigger.

Swap Card

Break out the glitter!  The Magnolia stamp is from Just Ink Lined and the background card is from a set of pattern card and paper that I have had for a while.  You get the same designs in plain version and an all over glittered version.

Male Birthday

A set of stamps from Tabby Kat that I have finally got round to using.

The background paper was created by ironing screwed up waxed paper onto ordinary paper and then inking over with a dye based ink pad.

Used something new on this card - the large bubble stencil from Clarity Stamp.  Inspired by something that I saw Barbara do with the same stencil and the gelli plate.  I did not use the gelli plate, I inked the stencil and "stamped" with it to created the stencil.  All the stamps used are from Clarity except the round birthday greeting stamp.

These card were inspired by a card I had seen at the Indigo Blu New Premises Open Day.  Bird is from Indigo Blu.  Have proved very useful for male birthdays.

July

I did not take these pictures with my own camera and so ended up with dates on the images, a personal bug bear of mine.  The teenager these cards were made for are twins.  I like these images from Dimension Fourth (now Dimension stamps).  These stamps are being discontinued and were, last I looked in the sale/discount bin on that website.

Little Claire Designs

I belong to the Little Claire Project Club and am enjoying it. Here are some cards made with the stamps received through the Project club, that I liked the most in 2012.
This was an alternative design suggested in the project club leaflet - adapted of course.
I found it very difficult to send this card after I had made it.
This male card was made several times for different male birthdays. You could add the age of the recipient to the front of the radio.

Man Cards

The Little Claire's club stamp set for March had a male theme. There was a further card idea supplied with the project card. This is my version of that further suggestion.
The base card for this card was 15 cm square. I then decided to do a larger version, 7.75 inches square for a friend's 50th Birthday.
I then decided to do a different colour version of the large card for my brother's 50th birthday.
In every case, I did each tile/square individually rather than stamp them all onto one large piece of card.

An EPIC birthday card

A card for a nephew whose favourite phrase while visiting over Christmas and New Year was "EPIC". Boy figure is a Dimension Stamps Stamp. Letters are one of those boxed Alphabet Sets you can buy i a plastic storage box - Docrafts/Papermania.
