April Card Swap
The theme for the swap was create your own background paper.
I made the blue handmade paper for the background about 2 years ago, recycling coloured paper handouts. The method was demonstrated on one of the TV craft programmes about the same time. General idea is to blitz the paper in an old liquidizer, mixed with water, then scoop out on a wire mesh, press between two nappy liners and then dry.
The butterfly stamp and flower stamp is from Indigoblu and the background script is from the Marion Emberson range.

Molly Blooms - Sunflower
This card was created for a swap with the theme "My Favourite Flower" - in my case this is sunflowers. I use this Molly Bloom stamp quite a lot - got to know of Molly through a freebie stamp with a magazine.

Left Overs and Tag Challenge

After making several of the cage and butterfly cards, see following post, I have a few bits and pieces of leftovers film/fibres/card. So I thought I would use them in this week's challenge for Try It On Tuesday - a tag with a bird theme.
I have the large and small swirl stamps from Clarity Stamp. The large I used on the card and the small I have used on the tag.
The Spellbinders die set has two cage dies, so I used the large on the card and the small I have used on the tag.
Now went I got to the end of my butterfly making and cutting out, I put all the scraps and leftovers into one sandwich. Then I cut out the two birds (from the same die set as the cages from this "reheated" sandwich and coloured them (ie use dies as a stencil).
Fantasy Butterflies

Today I have been playing with my latest spellbinders die and fantasy film/fibres. The stamps used in this card all come from Clarity Stamp.
